A great little record player and recorder - for those who are tech savvy

I really really love this thing.I was playing and recording my records within 10 minutes of getting this little wonder out of the box.The recordings sound great and it couldn't be easier to use once you get down how it works.This item is completely and only powered from the USB connection.Playback sounds good and the MP3 recordings it's creating sound great!I recommend this product only for those at least a little tech savvy.The manual isn't great, but it will get you through the basics.The recording software is an easy install, either with the included disc or by moving the disc contents to a flash drive.It's a little tricky to install the extra mp3 conversion software. (its not included for legal reasons and is a free download, but complicated to find)The recording software is also easy to use after you get it figured out.I've got the audio coming through a receiver via basic red & white audio cables and the recording running through the notebook via USB all at the same time.I couldn't be happier with it.

worth the price

OK, as stated in previous reviews, the sound quality is not very good. Low & Static. so just be prepared to either buy an amplifier. Works great, check out dimensions cause it is bigger than what the picture shows. Still perfect & compact versus getting a whole unit. Worth the investment....I'm happy
